Press release on First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov’s consultations with British Minister of State for Europe and the Americas Alan Duncan

On December 8, First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov had consultations in Moscow with British Minister of State for Europe and the Americas Alan Duncan.

In the context of preparations for British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson’s visit to Moscow, which is planned to take place before the end of the year, the sides exchanged opinions on current issues of Russia-UK interaction and international matters. They emphasised their commitment to solving the persisting problems in bilateral affairs in a pragmatic manner and to promoting cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest, including cultural and humanitarian projects.

They also discussed major international challenges in order to find, despite existing differences on certain issues, a common platform for the two countries’ diplomatic efforts, including in the UN Security Council.
